Last week, a few igniteyourfaith.com readers shared "Mission Trip Memories"—stories of their adventures serving God away from home. I really enjoyed reading about what many of you learned and experienced during these short-term missions trips.

As I read your stories—and as I listened to the people I met on my own recent missions trip—I found a common theme. All of us were trying to do a small part of God's work in the world. We became aware of a need, and, with God's strength, played a small role in his work.

That theme is also part of a story in the September/October issue of Ignite Your Faith. When Zach Hunter studied slavery in school, he was shocked to learn that slavery still exists all over the world. Zach decided to raise money to donate to International Justice Mission, an organization that works to prevent human trafficking and to free slaves. He started small, and his efforts turned into something big. Now, his campaign, "Loose Change to Loosen Chains," helps people like you and me raise money to investigate slave owners and set people free.

Zach was willing to do something small for God, and now, he's become a passionate voice for justice. Read his story here. I hope it inspires you to keep serving God and his children in big and small ways.
