An Earthshaking Prayer I was at home in my trailer one Saturday evening doing laundry when I felt led by the Lord to pray. It was a time in my life when I was earnestly seeking God with all of my heart, and believing Him for big answers to big prayers. I was kneeling by my bedside deep in worship and prayer when the house began to shake! I rejoiced, thanking God for answering me in such an awesome way
until I realized it was the washing machine starting the spin cycle. Georgiana Daniels, Flagstaff, Arizona
Get Thee Behind Me When my father first became a Christian, he often went door-to-door through neighborhoods, passing out tracts and sharing his testimony with complete strangers. One day he came upon a house with a "Beware of Dog" sign posted on the front gate. Cautiously, Dad made his way through the gate. He was almost to the door when he heard a deep snarl behind him that made the hairs on his neck stand on end. He froze, glancing sideways to see a large Doberman with teeth bared. Before he had time to react, the door opened, and an elderly lady shouted to the dog, "Down, Satan!" To which Dad responded, "AMEN!" Sarena Wellman, Lynchburg, Virginia
Joshua's Other Miracle Many years back, a man by the name of Joshua had to go before my uncle, who was a judge in magistrate court, to be sentenced for a crime he had committed. Uncle Walter jokingly said, "Are you the Joshua that made the sun stand still?" The man seriously replied, "No, sir, Your Honor. I'm the Joshua that made the moonshine."
